Late to the party but if you want a lot of different weapons available for actual use by the characters then a plugin is the way to go. If it's only a few weapons then it can be done within the database but it gets fiddly and less manageable the more weapons you add.
It's something I'll be looking at later for my game as I want to change the visuals for the sprites if they equip different weapons/armor. For me I'll have to use a plugin.
Really liking the variety of weapons here and the display setup is really nice. I might try it out with the Wizard Widgets as well, once I pick this one up!
While not directly a "fantasy market", in a similar vein, have you considered tiles for a tavern of sorts?
Just bought this and I'm really impressed by the amount of weapon coverage in it! I'll enjoy putting these to use; you threw in a lot of weapon types not usually considered by other artists, and ones I'm interested in putting in. Thanks!

Actually a modern post apoc set (with modified/improvised weapons) might be interesting too. Too much of RPGMaker assets are fantasy.

These are mainly for use in displays/menus, but it might be possible to modify them for battle, I haven't tried it.

Have you considered making a modern weapons eg. guns tileset similar to this?
